1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program!
We are happy to introduce this nationwide challenge at our library.
Did you know that reading to your child is one of the most powerful ways to boost his or her brain power? The simple and enjoyable act of sharing books helps your child learn pre-reading skills such as understanding the sounds letters make, developing a bigger vocabulary, and building background knowledge—all important skills that help prepare your child for learning to read and entering kindergarten.
Register your child ages birth to five years at the library & receive your first 100 book reading log! We'll keep track of your child's progress with the reading logs turned in & they will get their picture on our progress board. After 1000 books they will get a photo certificate, a booklet of all books read & a free book.
For more information contact the library at 307-283-1008 & ask for Tonia or email [email protected].

Storytime at the library:
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. in the library meeting room during the school year. Toddlers and preschoolers accompanied by an adult are welcome. Join us throughout the school year for fun with various themed storytimes including stories, music, rhymes, counting, Bookflix, fingerplays, flannelboard stories, activities and crafts.
When there is no storytime on specific Wednesdays we will be incorporating "Play to Learn" centers/stations. These will be for parents and children to do together at their own pace.
